Non-urgent advice: Lancaster University South Campus Entrance Closed
As of 5.30pm on Thursday 12th May, the Lancaster University campus south entrance (Alexandra Park) will be closed to all vehicles until further notice. Anyone attending our Lancaster University site should enter the campus via the main entrance (Bigforth Drive – next to the sports centre).
How to Contact the Practice
Online Consult is our new service which provides an alternative way to contact the practice by guiding you through a series of questions to determine what your query is (both administrative and medical), and what the next steps should be. If general practice is the most appropriate option for you, we will be notified and one of our team will give you a call in the timeframe shown on screen.

Booking an appointment. All appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery using your usual number. You can also use Online Consult.
Ordering a prescription. Prescriptions can be ordered via the myGP app, Patient Access or the NHS App, or by handing in your request slip in the prescription order box at reception.
Other health matters such as test results or to speak with a Clinician. Test results are available online when you request access to your medical records, you can also request test results via Online Consult. Ask for a form at reception. If you wish to speak with a Clinician, then please phone the surgery or use Online Consult.

Non-urgent advice: Extended Access
The North Lancashire Extended Access Service is available for patients registered with Ash Trees Surgery, Bay Medical Group, Lancaster Medical Practice, and Queen Square Surgery.
The Service includes:
– WEEKDAY pre-bookable and same day general practice appointments from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm
– WEEKEND pre-bookable and same day appointments on both Saturday and Sunday
Appointments for this service can be booked by phoning the surgery between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday. If phoning outside of these hours, please dial 111.
Non-urgent advice: When We Are Closed
If you need to see a Doctor when the surgery is closed please telephone 111
During the out of hours period call NHS 111 for assessment and advice. If your condition requires further treatment they will identify the most appropriate local service to meet your need and either direct you to the service or pass your assessment details directly on to it. This includes the local GP Out of Hours Service, Bay Urgent Care.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
