We would like to continue to thank all our patients who have been so understanding with us during this COVID-19 pandemic, whilst we have made changes to our appointments to continue to provide care to all.
All patients are asked to NOT visit the Practice in person, but to telephone us first. We can assist with almost everything by telephone and where you do need to be seen, the receptionist or clinician will then advise you as to which site to attend.
We continue to make some changes to the way we work, to ensure we are best protecting and caring for our all of our patients and staff. As such, we are restricting access to our sites.
You MUST NOT attend any of our sites if you are experiencing any of the below:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Our RED site is the Lancaster University site. You will be made aware by our clinical team if you are required to attend a RED site. Clear instructions will be given to patients by our clinicians at the time of your appointment booking.
Our AMBER sites are Owen Road (the surgery), Dalton Square, Rosebank, Meadowside and Galgate. You will be seen in our AMBER sites if you require a face to face appointment and are NOT experiencing any viral symptoms (long term cough (over two weeks)/cold/sore throat/sinus problems/ earache/ general fatigue).
Our GREEN site is King Street – which is temporarily closed to patients, however you are still be able to drop off prescription requests in secure boxes outside these sites and telephone services will remain. If you normally choose to attend your appointments at these sites, you will of course be able to access services at one of our other sites.
We have unfortunately been required to adjust the types of appointments available via online booking and are currently only offering call back slots from our reception team. These are available via the myGP app.
