Advance notice: Main University Drive closure
Posted on:
Lancaster University has advised that the main entrance road into the university will be closed between Sunday 2 July and Friday 14 July while the road is resurfaced.
During the two-week period, Bigforth Drive (Main University Drive) will be closed to all vehicles between the A6 and the University Perimeter Road roundabout.
Patients attending appointments at the University Health Centre between Monday 3 July and Friday 14 July should be advised that:
- If you drive, you must use the Alexandra Park entrance off Hazelrigg Lane to the south of the campus.
- If you travel to the University by bus, your bus will enter and exit campus via Hazelrigg Lane. Bus stops on the University Perimeter Road will be functioning as normal.
- If you cycle, you should use an alternative entrance – via cycle paths at the south campus entrance, Bailrigg Lane or the Health Innovation Campus.
- If you walk, pedestrians can continue to access the University from the main entrance off the A6.
Thank you for your co-operation.
