Cervical Screening Clinic Saturday 28 January

Posted on:

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers and getting screened can help stop it before it starts.

Screening checks for certain types of the HPV virus that can cause cell changes to your cervix. Cell changes are easily treated and this prevents cervical cancer.

It is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week between Monday 23 January and Sunday 29 January and we are encouraging those eligible for screening – women and people with a cervix aged 25-64 – to respond to their cervical screening invitation letters and to book a cervical screening appointment if it is due.

If you have been invited for cervical screening, we will be running a cervical screening clinic on Saturday 28 January at University Health Centre.

You can book an appointment directly via the NHS App or Patient Access. Sign up to our online services.

Please only book these appointments if you are eligible. We reserve the right to cancel your appointment, and the clinician may decline to see you, if you have booked the appointment inappropriately.

You can also call the Practice on 01524 551551 or come to reception at one of our surgeries to book.
