You can book your 1st, 2nd or booster vaccination at these clinics by following the link in the text you have received or by giving the practice a ring on 01524 842200 and choosing option 3 when prompted to speak to one of our team managing the vaccination programme. Boosters are by invite only and can only be given 6 months after the 2nd dose – if you think that you are eligible for a booster vaccination but have not yet received an invitation, please ring the practice.
You should not arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment time
We are also accepting walk-ins depending on how busy the clinics are – please note, however, that we cannot guarantee that you will be seen without an appointment.
We can only give 2nd doses from at least 8 weeks after your 1st vaccination. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you receive your 2nd vaccination between 8 and 12 weeks from your first – as this gives you the best protection against COVID-19.
Remember that the Pfizer vaccination requires a 15 minute observation time after your jab, so please factor this in when attending the clinic.
We are also offering the flu vaccination at these clinics. If you have booked an appointment via the text message you received then you will be able to request a flu jab when you arrive. Flu vaccinations are available to walk-ins if you are eligible, but this is also subject to availability and how busy the clinic is. Those eligible for the flu vaccination are:
- are 50 and over (including those who’ll be 50 by 31 March 2022)
- have certain health conditions
- are pregnant
- are in long-stay residential care
- receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
- live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
- frontline health or social care workers
- children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2021 (born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2019)
Bowland Hall is located on the main Lancaster University campus. Shown below:
Enter via the main entrance, pass the Sports Centre and turn left at the roundabout.
There will be designated parking for those attending the clinic – please only park in these bays to avoid receiving a ticket.
