GP Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice in the last financial year (2016/17).

As Lancaster Medical Practice was only formed in April 2017 as a result of a merger of 4 GP practices across Lancaster there is currently no data for the financial year 2016/17.

GP earnings will appear on this website once the 2017/18 accounts have been finalised.

It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice. It should not be used to form a judgement about GP earnings , nor to make any comparison with any other General Practice.
